2 · The short version
Two kinds of cookies are used here. The first kind is necessary to deliver and secure the site, and is used without asking, as §25(2) TDDDG allows. The second kind is for statistics only, and is used only if you agree. Until you make a choice in the banner, nothing in the second group is loaded and no request is sent to Google.
Some things this site deliberately does not do, because they are common and worth naming: no fonts are loaded from Google or any other content delivery network, no maps or videos are embedded, no social media plug-ins are present, and nothing you type into the Analytics Portal sign-in or the assistant box on this site is transmitted to us or stored anywhere. Those inputs are processed in your own browser and discarded.
3 · Server log files
When you open this site your browser sends technical information that our hosting provider records in a server log file. This normally covers the page requested, the date and time, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, your browser and operating system version, and your IP address.
Purpose and legal basis
This data is required to deliver the site to your device and to keep it available, stable and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the technically error-free presentation and defence of our website. The data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify you.
Storage period
Log data is deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest. If a specific incident requires it, the affected records are retained until the incident has been finally clarified.
4 · Hosting and content delivery
Hetzner
This site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The provider processes the data described in section 3 on our behalf as a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR, under a data processing agreement. Hosting takes place on servers located in Germany.
Cloudflare
To deliver and protect this site we additionally use the content delivery network and security services of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Traffic to this site passes through Cloudflare's network, which means Cloudflare processes connection data including your IP address in order to route the request, filter attacks and block spam.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the security, availability and spam protection of this website.
Where personal data is transferred to the United States in this context, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, and in addition by Cloudflare's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
5 · Contacting us
This site has no contact form. If you write to the e-mail address or call the number given above, the details you provide are processed to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the contact relates to a contract or to steps taken before entering into one, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries addressed to us. Enquiries are deleted once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention period applies; commercial and tax retention obligations under §257 HGB and §147 AO may require retention for six or ten years.
6 · Statistics
The services in this section run only after you have given consent in the cookie banner. Before that, and if you reject, no script from these providers is loaded and no request reaches them. Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" for storage, advertising and analytics before any tag can run, and is only raised after a click that grants it.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to understand which sections of this site are actually read. IP anonymisation is active by default. Data retention in the Google Analytics property is configured to two months.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR together with §25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; see section 9. Independently of that, you can prevent collection by Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Transfer to the United States
Google may process data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and transfers are additionally covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. You should be aware that United States authorities may, under United States law, be able to access data held by providers subject to their jurisdiction, and that legal remedies against such access may be more limited than within the European Union. Your consent under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR also covers this transfer.
7 · Cookies used
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Basis |

| lt_consent | Stores your cookie choice and when it was made, so you are not asked again and so the consent can be demonstrated | 12 months, then you are asked again | Necessary, §25(2) TDDDG |
| _ga | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors | 2 years | Consent |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics: keeps the session state | 2 years | Consent |

prefix in the address bar and the lock symbol shown by your browser. While encryption is active the
